The Real Estate Unit Subdivision Program has launched a construction permit data verification service through the Balady Platform for subdivision requests. This service enables engineering offices to automatically query construction permit data while submitting subdivision requests, as building permits are a fundamental requirement for completing the subdivision process. In a press statement, the program explained that this service helps ensure the accuracy and quality of data for subdivided real estate units. It also reduces the time spent verifying building permit data and entering it manually by engineering offices during the submission of subdivision requests. Furthermore, it minimizes errors in permit data entry, as the information is now automatically retrieved and reflected in the Real Estate Unit Subdivision Platform. The program had previously launched the Premium Service, which significantly reduced the time required for engineering offices to submit subdivision requests, accelerating the data entry process by 70%. This was made possible through an automated engine that analyzes property plans based on surveying data, eliminating the need for manual input. The Real Estate Unit Ownership, Subdivision, and Management Law and its Implementing Regulations aim to enhance the role of the Real Estate Unit Subdivision Program in subdividing both residential and commercial real estate complexes. The law ensures the protection of property rights within shared spaces, defining those spaces, systems, and service facilities within individual properties and between properties in a complex. The Real Estate Unit Subdivision Program is part of the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing’s efforts to regulate the real estate sector, safeguarding rights, promoting efficient property utilization, and streamlining the issuance of ownership documents. These efforts contribute to achieving the target of raising Saudi family homeownership to 70% by 2030, in line with the objectives of the Housing Program, one of the initiatives of Saudi Vision 2030.
