The Ministry of Housing held three workshops in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam to introduce a range of services and programs affiliated with the Ministry. The workshops targeted the business sector and stakeholders, including real estate developers, engineering offices, and engineers, with the aim of presenting the programs, explaining their objectives and mechanisms, and answering participants' inquiries. In a press statement, the Ministry explained that the workshops highlighted numerous services offered by its programs, which aim to safeguard the rights of citizens and beneficiaries in the real estate sector and foster a balanced and sustainable real estate environment by providing integrated services that cover all stages of a residential unit’s lifecycle. Among these initiatives: The Sustainable Construction Program verifies the quality of residential units during the construction phase through certified inspectors, as well as inspecting completed housing units. The Real Estate Unit Subdivision Program streamlines the process of dividing properties into separate real estate units, each with its own independent title deed. Ejar Program organizes and simplifies rental sector procedures while ensuring protection of rights and maintaining sector stability through secure and precise regulatory measures. The Owners Association Program regulates relationships among owners of shared property units by enforcing approved regulations and guidelines. Engineer Mazen bin Mohammed Al-Dawood, General Supervisor of Real Estate Regulation at the Ministry of Housing, emphasized that the Ministry is committed to developing and regulating the real estate sector through these programs and initiatives. These efforts aim to serve citizens’ and beneficiaries’ interests, improve residential unit quality, and facilitate transactions in the residential real estate market. The Ministry has also leveraged advanced technical solutions in alignment with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, supporting comprehensive digital transformation across all levels. Al-Dawood stressed that all Ministry programs are designed to serve the real estate sector broadly and citizens specifically, contributing to the protection of rights, improving sector performance, and increasing its contribution to the national economy, while helping achieve the Housing Program’s objective of raising homeownership rates to 70% by 2030.
